Coaching and support
Subscribe to receive a weekly outline of upcoming calls and community offerings for women, veteran spouses, and military couples.
No one should try to go it alone, and our individual and group coaching programs can help you begin your healing journey, whether or not you’re embarking on a psychedelic retreat. Our team of certified coaches bring years of experience and a myriad of skills and modalities to the table to help you overcome your trauma, show up wholly for the ones you love, and live from a more present and connected place.
Weekly Veteran Spouse Support
The Hope Project Project offers this drop in group program to connect you with others who can understand what you’re going through, provide an opportunity to share your experience, and help you connect with new tools to further your own healing process. Whether you’re just beginning your personal healing journey or are years into your practice, we’ve found that community contributes deeply to the process. Most sessions will offer a topic for reflection and discussion, an activity to help integrate a new skill or tool, or an experience to nourish your mind, body, or spirit. This support group is run by Program Director, Hannah Kimyon along with monthly guest practitioners.
Psychedelic Preparation & Integration
In partnership with Heroic Hearts Project, The Hope Project offers weekly group coaching calls for female-identified veterans and veteran spouses to come together and connect on the topic of psychedelic preparation and integration. Whether you’ve just had your first experience with a psychedelic or are deeply experienced with psychedelic modalities, we’re prepared to meet you wherever you are in your integration journey, and we welcome your story. This group is hosted weekly by Dr. Mia Black, PsyD and Azra Gojacic.
Email families@heroicheartsproject.org for more information about how to join these calls.
Tap Into the wisdom of your body with Trauma/Tension Release Exercise (TRE) Sessions
TRE is a somatic modality that helps your body release tension stored in the body from trauma and stress by moving through a sequence of gentle stretches and exercises. TRE is a great way to let go of whatever you’re ready to release without the need for thinking or speaking about the trauma directly. Benefits include relaxation, improved sleep, releasing stored emotions, and increased groundedness, presence, and resilience.
These free, 90 minute sessions are hosted 2x per month by certified TRE instructor, Azra Gojacic.
Email families@heroicheartsproject.org for more information about how to sign up.
Private coaching
If you are in need of more personalized support than can be offered in a group setting or are not yet ready to speak up in a group, consider working with a one-on-one coach. Private coaching can be helpful if you just need a place to share what’s happening in your life, if there’s a specific concern or goal you’d like to address, or if you are seeking new tools and perspectives to support you in your growth and healing. Our coaches all contract with clients directly and have extensive experience working with veteran spouses.
Contact families@heroicheartsproject.org if you’d like a referral to one of our recommended coaches.
Couples Talks and Workshops
We understand how critical growing and healing in partnership can be for relationships and families. The Hope Project currently offers quarterly programming for couples, including workshops and talks touching on topics such as heart-centered communication, parenting and psychedelics, and more.
